Our Team
Carla Fuquene-Pena, AIA, WELL AP
Carla Fuquene-Pena brings to Fábrica more than 15 years of experience in the design, project management and construction administration of multi-family affordable residential developments and rehabilitations, supportive housing for low-income populations, senior housing and homes for special-needs groups in the five boroughs of New York City. She believes that design is a powerful tool to strengthen our communities, and is passionate about improving people’s lives. Carla holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute and a Master of Science in Urban Policy and Leadership from Hunter College. She is a registered architect in New York State and a WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP).
Monica Gutierrez
Monica has 15 years of design and technical expertise in a wide range of hospitality projects. Among her diverse professional accomplishments are delivered boutique resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean, several completed cruise ships for major cruise lines, restaurants and brand experience environments in Canada and the U.S. Each of these products give her unique insight into the demands of both clients and guests, project management, procurement, and deliverables across a broad spectrum of design specific environments. Her commitment to best practices and innovation in design applications coupled with her sensibilities for problem solving and maintaining high product standards provides Fábrica’s clients with unique perspective and project strategy to ensure success.
